New Team Member and Vowl Plushy

Today is a great day. Today Danaya has officially joined Chonky Boy Publishing. Hi Dee!

Danaya will be working on our website, kickstarter, social media, and more. She is a wonderful soul and I could not be more excited to have her on board. With the hiring of Danaya this journey has gotten a whole lot more official.

We also received more great news as some images of the first plushie concept design appeared in our email today. This is a true behind the scenes look for you at the evolution of making a plushie. This is the first one Meghan and I have done so you can learn along with us.

As you can see from the original mock up they took Meghan’s image quite literally and have separated the feathers which made them look a bit more like long fingers than feathers on a wing. The wings also look quite fat, which is not what we wanted. The eyes and coloring are also still missing and will be added later.

We are seeing if they can add any textured material to the outside so it is a bit softer and wrote back all the changes we would additionally like to see. But as of now it looks like a very cute and unique looking plushie. Our dream is to have something that kids really grow attached to. Their own “Hobbes” type doll that goes on adventures with them. A lot of plushies and stuffed animals are quickly forgotten by kids. But we want Vowl to act as a constant reminder that they can work on their mindset whenever they want.
